The role of Trustees
As a charity Trustee, you are both jointly and individually responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, its financial health, the probity of its activities and developing the organisation’s aims, objectives, and goals.

What we’re looking for
The Foundation is now looking for three new Trustees who can contribute to our work. For two, we are flexible about the skills sets that you bring, but you need to have an understanding of charity governance, a commitment to our mission and ideally, lived experience of EAL or ESOL and an ability to operate at Board level. For the third, we are looking for a qualified accountant with experience of asset management and oversight.
Key Experience and Skills sought in each of the three new Trustees:
- A commitment to the Foundation’s mission, vision and values.
- Successful experience of operating on or working with a Board or a Committee in a charitable, public sector, or commercial organisation.
- A strong understanding of charitable and corporate governance.
- The ability to think strategically and analytically.
- Communication and engagement skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
- A commitment to EDI policy and practice.
